Why the name
"Brain rot" is what a lot of us feel after an hour of endless scrolling. Oxford chose it as its Word of the Year for 2024. DontRot is the opposite: a nudge to swap some of that time for something that leaves you better than it found you.
What we believe
- Your phone isn't the enemy. Apps are fun. The problem is opening them on autopilot. DontRot adds a small, healthy price.
- Nothing to lose. No lives, no coins, no punishments. Effort only ever adds up.
- Real means real. Every activity is checked by your phone, because minutes you earned feel different.
- Free stays free. The core of DontRot is free and will stay that way. Pro is for people who want more control.
Who makes it
DontRot was started by Oscar, its founder, and is built by a tiny team. It has grown mostly by word of mouth, thanks to people who tried it and told a friend. We read every message.
